Bryan Allen serves as the President and CEO of Technicolor
Enterprise Services, formerly known as Convergent Media Systems. Bryan
Allen is responsible for developing and leading the company’s
continuing growth strategy. His insight, hard work and leadership
have established Technicolor as the leading integrator of video-based
networks to the enterprise market.
Bryan began his career with Convergent over 26 years
ago as a systems engineer, was promoted to a number of executive positions
including vice president of engineering and eventually became Convergent’s
President and CEO in 2005. In his various roles, Bryan led a number
of business initiatives including:
- Overseeing the construction of Technicolor’s
state-of-the-art network operations center which now
serves as the network hub for Technicolor’s North
American operations
- Re-positioning and re-branding Convergent following
the spin-off from EDS, subsequently growing the company
more than 400%
- Securing the 1993 merger with Convergent’s largest
competitor Private Satellite Network
- Adopting and introducing new video technologies including
Ku-band satellite technology and compressed digital video
- Driving Convergent’s expansion into new business-to-business
video markets including:
- Networked digital signage
- Private business television networks
- Interactive distance learning
- Outsourcing of content development and network
management services
- Development of IP-based video-on-demand and desktop
solutions
Bryan was nominated twice for the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by
Ernst and Young in 2000 and 2001 and under his leadership, Convergent
received the inaugural Business Ethics Award of Georgia in 2001. Bryan
earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from
Western Kentucky University in 1983.
