Rob Harwood is Vice President of Information
Technology for Technicolor Enterprise Services, formerly known
as Convergent Media Systems. Rob ensures the proper business systems
technology is applied as the company expands its business. Rob
also continues to have full responsibility for the company’s
information systems and interfacing with Technicolor and Thomson
information technology operations. Rob also is responsible for
setting the strategic direction and business contribution of
the IS function. Rob leads network and systems teams, and development
of business operations systems.
After graduating from Murray State University with a Bachelor
of Science in Information Systems, Rob joined Electronic Data
Systems (EDS) and entered its highly respected Systems Engineering
Development Program. Upon completion, he worked on EDS government
accounts in Washington, D.C. and for the General Motors Plant
Automation Division in Atlanta. While with EDS, he was promoted
to Advanced Systems Engineer.
After EDS purchased VideoStar Connections, Inc. in 1989 and
it became the EDS Video Services division, Rob joined the organization
and stayed after it was spun-off from EDS and became Convergent.
Rob has held positions as Systems Manager and Director of Information
Systems.
