Trevor Davies is Senior Vice President
of Engineering for Technicolor Enterprise Services, formerly
known as Convergent Media Systems. Trevor
is focused on systems engineering, content delivery, and development
of the sales support organization. In addition Trevor is responsible
for the utilization of current IT resources to support the continued
design and implementation of new networks.
Trevor Davies was appointed Vice President of Engineering in 1997.
Before that, he served as Director of Business Development Services
and Director of Engineering for Convergent. Known for his ability
to visualize and then engineer technical solutions to meet complex
business, learning and communications challenges, Trevor's contributions
to Convergent and the industry also include:
- Leading development of IP-based, high-quality video-on-demand
and to the desktop solutions for interactive distance learning
and communications applications
- Spearheading streaming solutions for Convergent's government
and corporate clients
- Expansion of the Convergent solution
platform from an MPEG architecture to an IP/DVB-based architecture
- Management of day-to-day technical operations and maintenance
of enterprise networks for the company's clients
Prior to joining Convergent, Trevor was Director of International
sales of COMSAT/RSI, a manufacturer of products for satellite,
terrestrial and wireless communications. Before that, he was
with VideoStar Connections Inc., Convergent's predecessor, as
Manager of Systems Engineering.
After receiving a B.S. from Oxford Polytech in the U.K., Trevor
was a Systems Engineer for the U. S. Department of Defense, where
he constructed defense communications satellite systems.
