As Chief Financial Officer of Technicolor Enterprise
Services, formerly known as Convergent Media Systems, Bill Wheless
is responsible for the Finance, Accounting, Human Resource, Real
Estate and Risk Management functions of the company. He has been
with the company since 1984 in various financial capacities,
including financial responsibility for the following key transactions:
- Merger with Private Satellite Network, Inc.
- Outsourcing arrangements with Digital Equipment Corporation
and Channel One Network
- Acquisition of MDI, Inc.
- Negotiation of a $12 million credit facility with Bank of
America
- Acquisition of land for headquarters and development of the
new headquarters building
- Acquisition by Thomson, Inc.
Bill also played a major role in establishing the foundation
that led to Convergent winning the 2001 Georgia Business Ethics
Award.
Before joining Convergent, Bill was Controller
and Secretary-Treasurer of Automated Logic Corporation, a provider
of energy management systems. Prior to that, he served as Accounting
Manager of Convergent's predecessor, VideoStar Connections,
Inc., and was Director of Accounting for RTC Transportation.
Bill began his career as an accountant with Arthur Young & Co.
in Atlanta.
Bill is a magna cum laude, honor graduate of the University
of Georgia, where he holds a B.B.A. in Accounting.
