Announces New Organization Of
Senior Management
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — June 5, 2006 — Convergent, a unit of Technicolor Network Services,
today announced the new organization of its senior
management team. The following changes create a more
defined organization to focus and improve operations,
sales, and account management, and position Convergent
to support Technicolor Network Services’ global
expansion. The new alignment also enables the company
to better serve its existing customers, and enhance
Convergent’s position as the Intelligent Media
DistributionSM company.
Johan Praats has been promoted to vice president of
sales and marketing, and will oversee all domestic
sales and marketing for Convergent. Praats will focus
on expanding the sales and marketing team to drive
new business development and support increasing market
demand.
Greg Browning has been promoted to senior vice president
of international business operations. Browning will
lead Convergent’s international business development
efforts, and leverage Thomson’s presence overseas.
Haig Megerian has been named vice president and general
manager of North American account strategy, and will
head up account management to provide a more streamlined
approach for supporting existing Convergent customers.
In addition, Greg Bloodworth has been promoted to
senior vice president of operations, and he will oversee
all domestic operations. Bloodworth will continue to
improve processes, streamline current activities, and
significantly grow the Convergent field force to support
rapidly-growing demand.
Marti Carlson has been promoted to vice president
of client services. She will be responsible for streamlining
helpdesk operations and delivering additional services
to other Technicolor business units.
Rick Hutcheson has been named vice president of sourcing,
and will focus on the integration of Convergent into
the Thomson family by identifying ways to significantly
improve buying power and streamline sourcing processes.
Rob Harwood, vice president of information technology,
will ensure the proper business systems technology
is applied as the company expands its business. Harwood
will also continue to have full responsibility for
Convergent’s information systems and interfacing
with Technicolor and Thomson information technology
operations.
Trevor Davies, senior vice president of engineering,
will continue to be focused on systems engineering,
content delivery, and development of the sales support
organization. Davies’ role will be expanded to
include the utilization of current IT resources to
support the continued design and implementation of
new networks.
Ken Boyle has been promoted to vice president of out–of-home
media, and will be responsible for developing and managing
Convergent’s digital signage software strategy
and investment that is being refined to accommodate
the mission-critical deployment of enterprise networks.
Boyle will continue to head up Convergent’s creative
services team.
In addition, Tony Guarino, senior vice president of
Technicolor Network Services, will lead the efforts
to expand Convergent services into other Technicolor
business units, and will lead the development of strategic
growth initiatives, including new service offerings
and global expansion plans. Guarino will be assisted
by Pintoo Shah, director of business development, and
will work out of the Technicolor’s Burbank offices.
Convergent’s executive management team will remain
unchanged, with Bryan Allen continuing as president and
chief executive officer, Bill Wheless as chief financial
officer, and Steve Dix as senior vice president, general
counsel, and secretary.
